Busy day down the lake today, setting the rules for for next weeks end of term competition, then working on calculating shotting patterns, then making hair rigs...and that was just the classroom session!! With two hours left we went and wet some lines, putting the hair rigs to use, armed with corn, pellet and luncheon meat.... June 2014 - WAC Courses not all about knots & casting!

With GCSE's completed it was time to get back into the C&G units, for those who think a fishing course is all about knots and casting...think again! In just a 2 hour session, not only did Eden net his first ever carp but also backed that up with 8 tench plus roach and hybrids. Till the next time...looking forward to it!

May 2014 - Barrie brings his A game

Despite reports to the contrary, another sunny day at the lake. Continued with our risk assessment training, this time with the group identifying risks from a set scenario given, then it was time to get lakeside. Whilst Mickey & George opted to bask in the sun and catch a few bream and tench they were a bit camera shy today! Barrie on the other hand certainly had his fishing head on and went into a shadier spot where...
