Back at Westbrook Mere for the Dacorum Angling Project hosted by Boxmoor & District AC. Great to meet up with faces old and new as we ran the 4 week course. Unfortunately this school holiday programme is under threat due a lack of funding resources, but we will be working alongside BDAS to try and keep this vital project running.

June - 2013 - Hertfordshire Inter-Schools Championship
Great day helping out at the first Hertfordshire Inter-Schools Championship organised by teh Hertfordshire County Angling Action Group. Match was extremely well attended, filling out the venue at Stanborough Lake. Well done to all participants, Goffs School won the match. Looking forward to next years competition

Welcome to the new people joining us on the Chessbrook Lifelines course, Sam, Harry, Ryan and Anthony. All have been off to a cracking start with plenty of Tench, Bream and Carp keeping them all on their toes. May 2013 - Hertfordshire CAAG Junior Carp Champs
Had a fantastic Day on 30th May helping out at the Hertfordshire Junior Carp Champs down at Stanborough Lakes. The event was kindly hosted by Welwyn Garden City Angling Club. A total of 7 teams were entered reprsentingl Kings Langley AC, SHefford, Verulam AC, and Welwyn GArden City. Catch rates were kept at a stead pace, both Kings Langley and Shefford AC took the lead in teh first stage but eventually the hosts, Welywn Garden City started to pull clear...

May 2013 - End of Term session - Smashed it!
Well we promised Barrie last week that bigger fish would soon come his way. We didn't realise just how true that would be!!! What a way to bring the spring term to an end, loads of fish caught including 3 carp to 23lb, plus excellent sized Perch, Tench and Bream. Congratulations to Barrie for capturing his first ever carp, and then breaking that Personal Best with another Carp at the end. Well done lads,...

Hertfordshire Junior Inter-Club Carp Match - Not too late to sign up!
The annual Hertfordshire Junior Inter-Club Car match will be held at Stanborough Lakes on 30th May 2013. May 2013 - Good luck with those GCSE's!
Quiet Chessbrook session this week, with the students now taking their GCSE's Barry was the only person who could come down. He didn't let a coaching ratio of 4 coaches to one student put him off and carried on banking some fine specimens. Sadly lost a decent carp which found the sanctuary of a snag tree. Hertfordshire Inter-Schools Coarse Angling Championship - has your school entered?
This year will see the first ever Hertforshire Inter-Schools Angling championship. All schools in Hertfordshire are encouranged to enter a team of 4 anglers for the event. Has you school entered?
