May 2018 - WAC visit Angling Projects for Scouts Match
Few pictures of fish the coaches caught down at Angling Projects - incorporating Junior Coarse Angling last weekend. Les allowed us access to the lake to host our annual trip out with the Rickmansworth Scouts. A great group to teach and we mixed things up with a match and coaching session whilst we ran them through their paces for the CAST level 1. Weather was pretty poor with heavy rain for at least half of the day but spirits were...

March 2018 - Lake thaws and we are back into the fish!
After being snowed out last week was nice to see the lake ice free this week. Bright sunshine but a bitterly cold wind. Inside the classroom Jack and Luke finished off their Angling Environment module which marks them having completed half of the Aim course. Fishing was quiet with a few Perch and a Jack Pike right at last knocking. Hopefully, that’s the last of the bitterly cold sessions for a while!

Bites were scarce...

December 2017 - 2 more students through Level 1 CAST
Good to catch up with Max (10) and Sam (7) last weekend who were taking their Level 1 CAST award. Having had a few Stillwater sessions with them we decided to put their skills to the test on the River. We decided to take a roving approach as with the cold air temps it’s a good way to keep warm as well. They covered 2 miles of River and managed to catch good numbers of Roach and Perch. Look forward...
