Our Key stage 4 programme students are really getting into the swing of things now as their captures demonstrate. One of those strange occurrences this week where both Sam & Anthony caught the same distinctive common a mere 30 minutes apart from different swims! General playing and netting of fish is the biggest area of improvement, and these boys are certainly being put to the test with the number of carp they are catching on their whip rods.

September 2014 - Week 1 - Sportivate CAST - Watford
Numbers wise our 6 week Sportivate CAST programme in Watford was off to a quiet start last week. With 2 phoning in sick, 1 no show and 1 running late from a dentists appointment, Eden had the benefit of 3 coaches looking after him! We have worked with Eden so moved him straight into feeder fishing which he hadn't tried before. He was quickly out of the blocks with Tench and Bream falling to hair rigged corn.

September 2014 - New Entrants in Key Stage 4 Programme
Welcome to Anthony and welcome back to Sam who have joined our Key Stage 4 programme. All our new entrants are gaining confidence in their fishing abilities and it was great to see the quality of fish being caught. A family competition then commenced between twins Evelyn & David as they...

Ably assisted by members of Elms Angling Society we set out to achieve just that and...

September 2014 - Week 2 of Sportivate DAP Project
Week two of the 6 week Dacorum Angling Project last week, good to see another new face joining us. We were getting knotted on this session which was all completed successfully and left enough time on the bank for everyone to catch a few fish before the session came to a close. This week will be the half way point and we are moving on to making pole rigs.

September 2014 - New Term & Students at Key Stage 4 Course
A warm welcome to Carl & Callum who are two new students on our Key Stage 4 programme. Both did really well, with plenty of fish banked. Callum also experienced his first "one that got away" when the 4lb line finally gave way whilst he played a large common carp...always next time though!
