July 2011 - Upgrade!!

Well, the time had come for us to upgrade and restock our coaching equipment, and a quick word of thanks to Tony and his team at Angling Concepts.   SPRO ticked all the boxes for us with their full range of equipment from 3m whip rods to cast over the horizon Carp equipment. So thanks again and we look forward to putting the new ranges through their paces!

June 2011 - Harry's whipping them fish out!

Well done to Harry, who has been undertaking our Level 1a proficient course (Whip fishing). Harry soon settled in to catching fish at a remarkable rate and on his final session was justly rewarded with this cracking bream, although he couldnt be persuaded to hold it, so WAC Coach Paul had to lend a hand!.  Harry's Dad Wayne was not to be outdown and youll find his photo in our gallery.

May 2011 - First of many Carp

Congratulations again go to Pete who joined us for a a few 24 hour carp sessions in May.  With his first night session he was rewarded with his first ever carp, a common of 16lb.  By the end of the month he topped off his results with a brace of 20lb+ mirrors, the biggest of which is shown here at 29lb 10oz with WAC coach Tony helping out.  Check out our gallery for Petes other carp captures.

May 2011 - A sure sign of Summer!

 WAC Coach Paul went out for a spot of fishing on the morning of his 40th Birthday and was rewarded with his first Crucian Carp of the season, a sure sign that summer is truly with us!

 Well done to Jason who enjoyed a remarkably warm April weekends fishing which saw over 30 tench grace the bank, not one of these was under 3.5lbs!

April 2011 - Off to a Flying Start

Congratulations to Pete who came and joined us for a days fishing session.  This was Pete's first time with using Whip & ledger rods but he was soon getting into the fish and quickly gathering up a total catch of over 50lb!
