February 2016 - Excellent Capture in Low Tempoeratures
Start of the new term, and we returned to another cold day on the bank today but the fish have finally started to get back into the feeding mode. After the classroom session around Angling & The Environment, it was time to get the rods out as we used ledger, pole and float rods to trip a good selection of fish. February 2016 - Hard Graft = Effort = Reward
Time for something a bit different this week as we got involved in relocating the stock and clearing out one of the site ponds. Hard work on a chilly day but with the sun on our backs it was all very rewarding and helps to highlight another avenue of interest that fish & fishing can offer. Top it all off there was still time to wet a line and Reece was rewarded with his first...

January 2016 - First Session of the New Year
Back from the Christmas break and the weather is really starting to turn. Cold winds and rain throughout most of the day which only cleared for the final few hours. Carp and Tench were clearly not in the mood but maggots were still working their magic on good hand sized Roach and skimmers. Best catch of the day was this Perch just under the 2lb mark which fell for a good old double red on size 16.

December 2015 - Drop Shotting saves the day!
Tough session this week with Reece, Stewart and Kian. Weather felt mild but the fish simply weren't having it. We switched over to Lure fishing but no follows, then rigged up for Drop Shotting which finally produced the goods with Pike and Perch. Must also give a big old slap on the back for WAC coach Dave who this week caught a new personal best Carp, one he has targeted for some time, and just for good measure at...

December 2015 - End of Term Session brings rewards
Cant believe the we have already reached the last session of the term / year already. Classroom session about risks / avoidance in Angling as part of the AIMS Awards programme, then it was time to get on the bank, where we deployed Float, Ledge and Lure tactics to spread the species we were targeting. Nothing massive today but the great thing about this time of year is that whatever you catch they have fantastic colours on display....
