June 2016 - First Session with Watford UTC


 First session with Liam and Will from Watford UTC. Weather was pretty grim during the 90 minute taster session but both fished well with plenty of silvers and Perch plus a few bonus Tench. Shame the 2 carp hooked managed to get away but sure these boys will be back for another crack at them!

June 2016 - Big Fish gracing the nets


 Plenty of fish being caught by our students recently, with some impressive personal bests for Maisie (24lb Common) & our latest recruit, Micky (22.5lb Mirror). We have also been breaking the session up with the students have been helping with feeding animals on the farm, something which is proving very popular. June 2016 - Introduction to Angling


 Great session with Dylan and Daniel as they joined us for an Introduction to Angling. Both boys did really well, especially given the blustery conditions which is always a challenge when learning how to cast and bite indication. Some great specimens were caught through with Carp, Tench, Skimmers, Perch Roach and Gudgeon all making an appearance

May 2016 - Bumper Haul For Reece


 Only Reece was able to make this weeks session, but hats off to him for that as he was struck by a car this weekend when out riding his bike. Fortunately nothing broken, but he was still in a great deal of discomfort. He soon had his float rod all set up and we managed to secure a good bag of Tench and a couple of Common Carp. May 2016 - CAST programme keeps delivering


 Another productive session last week as we continue working with the students who attended the taster sessions. Fishing was a little slower to start with but we were regularly catching small chub a species which haven't been visiting the bank for years, slowly but surely as the feed was regularly introduced we also started to persuade some good size Perch and Tench to make errors. April 2016 - New Term & New Faces


  Brilliant day today with the Year 9 taster sessions as we recruit for new students on the Aims and Cast courses. Fantastic bunch to teach full of laughs and smiles. Whip rods at the ready we had a day full of different species with Carp, Tench, Bream, Perch, Roach and Gudgeon all gracing the bank. Obviously had to throw together a bit of a competition, Girls V Boys in the morning which the Girls stormed even though outnumbered...

April 2016 - Term Break Sucsess


  Well after a few weeks off will be back coaching tomorrow as the schools return. Kicking off with a taster session as its time to recruit some new students for Cast and Aims programmes. Looks like the weather will hold so hopefully plenty of catches to be had Enjoyable break and even managed to winkle out a carp or two on some short sessions at a small club lake.

March 2016 - Canal Sucsess for WIlliam


 Enjoyable few hours ours Dropshotting with 14 year old WIlliam as he joined us on the Street Lurz programme. Sun was shining so under bridges and boats was our best bet and sure enough he had a few Perch Out from these shaded spots. We also managed to land a bonus in the shape of a small BBQ. That's Canal fishing for you, always a surprise or two to be had!
