February 2016 - Excellent Capture in Low Tempoeratures

Start of the new term, and we returned to another cold day on the bank today but the fish have finally started to get back into the feeding mode. After the classroom session around Angling & The Environment, it was time to get the rods out as we used ledger, pole and float rods to trip a good selection of fish. TG Active did the honours on the Carp Rods with two commons of 21lb 14, and 13lb being banked, maggots fished over a small sprinkling of pellet and hemp helped to secure Tench, Bream and Roach. Enough action to help us forget at least for a few moments how cold we were actually feeling!
