September 2012 - Chessbrook autumn Term


 Great to have  the lads back from Chessbrook, plus a new face for the Autumn Term Course.  This term is all about Ledgering and within the first few sessions the guys are already banking some cracking specimens including this unusual hybrid of Brown Goldfish/Fancytail caught by Connor.  More photos can be found in the Captures Gallery

August 2012 - Summer Programme for Thames 21 at Cannon Hill

August 2012 - Dacorum Summer Programme


 The summer break is already coming to a close, and we held our final session on 28th August on the Dacorum Angling Project. The programme was rounded off with a pairs match, and congratulations go to Kane and Billy who caught Perch and Roach at a healthy rate throughout the match,using maggot and pellet to secure 1st place. A great start to National Fishing Month helping out at Boxmoor & District Open Day.  All attendees managed to land a fair few fish and prove that there was life outside of watching Mr Murray claim a well deserved olympic Gold! August 2012 - Thames 21 coaching programme at Cannon Hill Lake - Merton


 Throughout August WAC will be delivering our Angling Introduction programme for Thames 21 to two groups of six local children.   The programme is being delivered at Cannon Hill Lake in Merton.   This lake has recently been handed over to the control of the Wandle Piscators and our first few visits there have already shown that this is a lovely little venue with plenty of fish and a healthy attendance of anglers.   More information about...

July 2012 - Hillingdon Family Fishing Fun Day


15th & 22nd July saw WAC back down to help out for our fourth year at The Family Fishing Fun Day run by Hillingdon Council at Little Britain Lakes.  The weather on both days beat the odds and we had 2 rain free days in which over 1000 people of all ages got to experience fishing.  There were a few fish to be had, the majority of which fell to those who had never caught before.

July 2012 - Boxmoor & District Angling Project


 July sees the start of the weekly Druglink project organised by The Boxmoor and District Angling Society.  The lads were soon back into the swing of things, with the best pair recording a total weight of 4lb with a mixed bag of silvers.

July 2012 - Hertfordshire County Angling Action Group - Junior Pairs Carp Championship


 July saw the first ever Hertfordshire County Junior Carp Competition organised by the Hertfordshire County Anging Action Group.  WAC were happy to help out with this great event and we were kept busy weighing in the carp caught.   The days competition came to a nail biting end with 4 pairs battling it out in the closing stages.  The competition was eventually won by Jordan Francis and Scott Bartlett of Welwyn Garden City Angling Club, the pairs winning fish...

July 2012 - Big Perch Day


The penultimate Chessbrokk Session of the Summer Term was to see the large carp the lads have been getting into recently replaced with some great specimenPerch with 5 Stripeys being landed between the 1.5 to 2lb Mark, these catches were backed up with the usual good standard of Bream & Tench to notch up yet another great fishing session.
