April 2016 - New Term & New Faces
Brilliant day today with the Year 9 taster sessions as we recruit for new students on the Aims and Cast courses. Fantastic bunch to teach full of laughs and smiles. Whip rods at the ready we had a day full of different species with Carp, Tench, Bream, Perch, Roach and Gudgeon all gracing the bank. Obviously had to throw together a bit of a competition, Girls V Boys in the morning which the Girls stormed even though outnumbered 2 to 3, same set up but a head to head 1v1 in the afternoon, which went to the boys thanks to a 16lb MIrror. Good times and look forward to seeing them all again soon. Hats off to WAC Coach Dave as well, who decided to fish on for the night. Tucked himself into a corner where the carp had been holding up in the day on the hopes that they would stay close. Excellent choice with 4 banked so far including a couple of 20lb + fish. Still a good 12 hours to go so we are expecting the Nashbait TG Active to continue showing its class and provide Dave with a bumper haul!
