February 2018 - Ice Breaker for Coach Paul!

A bitterly cold start for our students this morning, -3 air temperature and a firm lid of ice on the lake. Today’s session was therefore classroom based as we worked on fish anatomy, species, preferred habitats and natural food sources. Towards the end of the session a touch of rain had helped to thaw some of the lake so the coaches couldn’t resist clearing a swim and having a quick go after the class had finished. Bites were scarce with only 2 small Perch but at last we were rewarded by a decent Perch picking up the float fished worm...it’s always worth a dabble even when the odds are against you!!
