February 2017 - Lake finally thaws
Finally the lake has thawed but with the water temperatures still very low, we knew it was going to be tough going. With perseverance comes reward and the first notable fish of 2017 certainly wasn't what we were expecting. Micky is pictured below with the surprise Winter Tench with photobombing assistance from Isiah and Ben! Inside the classroom the 3 lads and Charlotte all had plenty to do as we picked up on missed sessions so that they had all completed the first stage of their Aims Course. Sessions on Angling regulations and permits, countryside code, weather patterns, climatic conditions and environmental issues were all covered and now they are ready to move into the second stage of the programme.
