March 2015 - Tea Break Poacher Strikes Again!

Busy morning with KS4 Students this morning. Another new face came to join us, so welcome aboard Jake. End of term is creeping up so not much time on the rods, as we worked with all the students to complete their assessments for Level 1 CAST. Whilst new to the group, Jake is already a keen angler so he will soon be through the Level 1 programme and as a whole the group can move to Level 2. There was also the small matter of next weeks Lifelines challenge Shield to sort out. Rules all agreed and the boys will be going head to head in a species points match..got a feeling that this is going to be a real cracker. As for KS3 this afternoon, only Jack was able to attend. similar to KS4 we needed to spend quite a bt of time in the classroom to sort out his Level 1 CAST assessment. Once completed, Jack wanted to have a go at casting with the Carp rods as he prepares for a family fishing trip this Easter. Hats off to him, first time out with this kit and he was soon getting into the swing of it as the lead travelled 60 yards plus with impressive accuracy to the markers. Being in the classroom most of the day, only managed to get a photo of Stuart with a Tench, but WAC coach Dave will be pleased that this leaves room to show another of his captures from his infamous tea break poaching tactics!
