January 2015 - Its cold, its sleeting....still fishing!
Our morning session with KS4 Students was really productive today, started off with shotting patterns and hook tying refreshers before we hit the bank. Good day for the boys with the tench still feeding, Callum also banked two carp to 19lb. Come the afternoon and it was time to work with our KS3 students who after a two week trial we are delighted will be continuing their course. The wheather was rapidly closing in and we were soon fishing in sleet and snow and dropping temperatures. Needless to say this really affected their fishing, chances were thin on the ground and it was so disspointing to see not only a good sized carp but also a Perch clearly over the 2lb mark get away. But hats off to the boys they stuck at it to the end which given the lack of action and terrible weather can only be commended.
